April Atheists Day

April Fools’ Day is a well-known tradition of pranking and joking around with friends and family. But did you know that it is also a holiday for atheists? That’s right, every year on April 1st, atheists celebrate their disbelief in God and mock the religious beliefs of others.

According to some historians, April Fools’ Day originated from the medieval practice of changing the calendar from the Julian to the Gregorian system, which moved the start of the new year from March 25th to January 1st. Those who refused to accept the change or were unaware of it were called “April fools” and ridiculed by others.

Some atheists claim that this date has now become a symbolic representation of their rejection of the Christian faith and its calendar.

May atheists now hold that April Fools’ Day has become a day of celebration and liberation from the tyranny and oppression of religion. They argue that religion is based on superstition and ignorance, and that they are the enlightened ones who follow reason and science and reject blind dogma and doctrine. Many atheists use this day in particular to mock the Bible verse that says: “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” (Psalm 14:1). This verse implies that atheists are fools who deny the existence of God and live in sin and folly. They also enjoy making fun of many other alleged absurdities and contradictions of various religious beliefs and practices.

For example, some atheists like to wear T-shirts and hats that say “There is no God” or “God is dead” on April Fools’ Day. Others like to send greeting cards and gifts to their religious friends and family that say “Happy April Fools’ Day! You still believe in God?” Some even go as far as organizing atheist rallies and marches on April Fools’ Day to proclaim their disbelief and demand their rights.

According to some theologians, however, April Fools’ Day is more appropriately a divine reminder of the foolishness and wickedness of atheism. They claim that God allows atheists to have their day of fun and pranks, but also warns them of the consequences of their unbelief. They say that God laughs at the atheists and holds them in derision (Psalm 2:4).

Some religious groups have even organized counter-protests and campaigns to reclaim April Fools’ Day as a day of faith and prayer. Other Christians celebrate April Fools’ Day by witnessing to atheists and sharing the gospel with them. They hope to convince them of the truth and reality of God and his love for them. They also pray for the repentance and forgiveness of those who are lost and deceived.

So, who is right and who is wrong in this debate? Is April Fools’ Day a holiday for atheists or for believers? Or is it just a harmless day of fun and laughter for everyone, particularly at the expense of the gullible and easily fooled? You decide. But remember, don’t believe everything you read on April 1st. Unless you read it on the internet. Especially on a satire site like this one.

Christian Pacifists Reinterpret Romans 13 After Tragic Animal Incidents

Fred and Peanut Become Latest Mascots for Justice  In a surprising twist, Christian pacifists have taken a page from the revolutionary Presbyterians' book by reinterpreting Romans 13, following the tragic demise of Fred the squirrel and Peanut the raccoon at the hands of government officials. These furry martyrs have sparked a theological debate, as pacifists now argue that Romans 13 supports civil disobedience against unjust state actions. Fred and Peanut, beloved local mascots, were allegedly "neutralized" for causing minor disruptions in a public park. Their untimely deaths have become a rallying cry for pacifists, who argue that the state's actions were neither just nor necessary. In response, pacifists assert that Romans 13, traditionally seen as a call to obey governing authorities, actually mandates resistance when the state acts contrary to God's will. They emphasize Paul's call to "overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21) as a directive to ch...

Men Named "David" More Likely to Suffer Identity Crisis

Matt Chandler, the lead pastor of Southern Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas, has shot to the evangelical spotlight in after preaching a sermon in which he proclaims that "You're not David!" to an unsuspecting captive audience. In doing so, however, he inadvertently caused a mass identity crisis among an unlikely, oddly-specific demographic: people who actually are named "David." One person, who commented on the condition of anonymity, said: "I've been called David my whole life. Now that I've been told I'm not David, I don't even know who I am anymore. I've started going by my middle name, but nobody's ever called me "Matthew" before and it's really taking some getting used to. My children look at me like I'm a stranger. My wife says she feels like she's sleeping with another man. I feel like a stranger in my own skin. I'm having an identity crisis. What do I do? We reached out to a local counselor for ...
