Shane & Shane’s Newest Partnership: Slayer

Bethel Music Out, “Reign in Worship” Begins

In a shocking turn of events, the popular Christian worship duo Shane and Shane responded to the public backlash and have announced that they are canceling their planned collaboration with Bethel music, citing "creative differences" and "theological concerns". Instead, they have revealed that they are partnering with the legendary thrash metal band Slayer for a new album and tour.

"We feel that Slayer is a better fit for our vision and message," said Shane Barnard, one half of the duo. "They are passionate, authentic, and not afraid to challenge the status quo. We share a lot of common ground with them, especially on topics like sin, judgment, and the end times."

Shane Everett, the other half of the duo, added: "We have always admired Slayer's musical prowess and lyrical depth. They are masters of their craft and have influenced generations of metalheads. We are honored to join forces with them and create something new and exciting for our fans."

The announcement has stunned both the Christian and metal communities, who have reacted with a mix of disbelief, outrage, and curiosity. Many fans of Shane and Shane have expressed their disappointment and confusion on social media, while some fans of Slayer have accused them of selling out and betraying their roots.

However, both bands have defended their decision and insisted that they have a lot to offer each other. Tom Araya, the vocalist and bassist of Slayer, said: "We respect Shane and Shane for their courage and conviction. They are not afraid to explore the dark side of humanity and spirituality, which is something we have always done as well. We think we can learn from each other and create some powerful music together."

Kerry King, the guitarist of Slayer, added: "We are not here to please anyone or conform to anyone's expectations. We are here to make music that we believe in and that expresses our views and feelings. We don't care what anyone thinks or says. We are Slayer, and we do what we want."

The new album, titled "Reign in Worship", is expected to be released later this year, followed by a worldwide tour. The tracklist includes songs such as "Angel of Death", "Mandatory Suicide", "Raining Blood", "How Great Thou Art", "Before the Throne of God Above", and "Amazing Grace". The album will also feature guest appearances from other Christian and metal artists, such as Chris Tomlin, Lecrae, Kirk Hammett, and Rob Halford.

Shane and Shane have also announced that they will be changing their name to "Shane and Slay" to reflect their new direction and partnership. They have also unveiled a new logo, which features a cross made of swords overlayed on Slayer’s pentagram.

"We hope that our fans will support us in this new venture and give our music a chance," said Shane Barnard. "We believe that God can use any genre of music to glorify Him and reach people with His love. We also believe that Slayer rocks!"

Shane Everett concluded: "We are excited for this new chapter in our career and ministry. We can't wait to see what God will do through us and Slayer. We are ready to reign in worship!"

Pride: Remembering Sodom & Gomorrah

Sodom and Gomorrah: The Original Pride Parade Gone Wrong As the calendar turns to June, rainbow flags and glitter will soon blanket city streets worldwide to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month. But before you head out to party, let's take a moment to reflect on the very first recorded Pride parade that didn't go quite as planned - the ill-fated cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. For those rusty on their biblical history, Sodom and Gomorrah were neighboring municipalities around the Dead Sea renowned for their hospitality and...other proclivities. When two angels visited the cities incognito, the residents rolled out the welcome mat in a manner that would make modern swingers blush.  Lot, a seemingly chill dude who just wanted to mind his own business, tried to protect the angels from the amorous townsfolk. But despite his pleas to "not act wickedly," the cities' citizens continued to pursue their unconventional interests with gusto befitting their reputation as the original ...

To Protect Last Political Allies from Trump, Biden Pardons Pilate, the Sanhedrin

Critics Say Presidential Clemency 2,000 Years Too Late In a shocking twist of historical revisionism, President Biden has issued a last-minute presidential pardon for Pontius Pilate and the Sanhedrin, effectively settling a 2,000-year-old legal dispute. The unprecedented move comes as Biden clears his presidential desk, seemingly determined to resolve theological legal matters that have been pending since the first century. "Sometimes, you've got to wash your hands of ancient history—literally," Biden reportedly quipped, making a clear reference to Pilate's infamous hand-washing gesture. The pardon documents hilariously cite "administrative oversight" and "bureaucratic complications" as primary reasons for the belated legal clemency. Religious scholars and historians are bewildered, with one anonymous theologian remarking, "Well, that's one way to end a presidency—by retroactively solving a crucifixion controversy." The White House pr...
